Buryats - one of the most numerous peoples of Siberia, which live in five subjects of the Russian Federation. Buryats compact live in the territory of Mongolia and China. Large Buryat diasporas there are in Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Vladivostok, Yakutsk, Krasnoyarsk, Novosibirsk, in the countries of the former USSR republics and abroadd: in the Ukraine, Korea, Japan, Canada, France and Australia. The history of Buryat people counts not one millennium. It is complex, and interesting, and ambiguous. Buryat people, which proved to be himself that scattered on the regions, to the countries and to continents, knew how to preserve its originality.

Buryats - indigenous population of Irkutsk region. In 2008 the region appears as the new region of the Russian Federation, where strengthening interregional connections and collaboration in the region of economic, spiritual and physical development will become priority; the attraction of Russian and foreign tourists, taking into account the propagation of the unique achievements of the traditional culture of Buryat ethnos as the radical people of the Baikal region.
